Samsung Omnia Software
The Samsung Omnia is a Windows Mobile smart phone that offers a full
touchscreen, GPS, Bluetooth and Wi-Fi. On occasion, Samsung releases
updates for the Omnia that add features or fix known issues with the
device. Updating the Omnia can be accomplished by connecting the phone
to your computer with the Windows Mobile Device Center, as well as
downloading and running the Windows Vista/Windows 7 upgrade tool.

Instructions
-
-
Download the SCH-i910 Vista/Windows 7 Upgrade Tool from the
Samsung Web page (see Resources for the link), and save the file to your
computer.
-
Install the Windows Mobile Device Center program on the
computer. Use the installation CD that came with the Samsung Omnia to do
this. If the installation CD has been lost, Windows Mobile Device
Center may be downloaded from the Microsoft website. (See Resources for
the link.)
-
Backup data stored on the Omnia, because this data is
deleted during the update process. Connect the Omnia to the computer
with a USB cable, and wait for the device to be recognized. Choose the
data you want to transfer to the computer for backup.
-
Open the Upgrade Tool and click "Next." Click "Continue"
twice, then "Yes." Open Windows Mobile Device Center, and uncheck the
box next to "Allow USB Connections." Reset the Omnia by inserting the
stylus into the "Reset" hole, located on the bottom of the device.
-
Click "Finish" when notified that the update is complete.
Open Windows Mobile Device Center and check the box next to "Allow USB
Connections." Your stored data is now transferred back to the Omnia.
Disconnect the Omnia when the process is complete.
