How to Update Google Maps Mobile

Google Maps Mobile should automatically download updates when they become available, but sometimes this may not work, or may not be supported by your particular device. If this is the case you can update to the latest version of Google Maps Mobile by accessing the download website on your smartphone's browser. Once you access the site, if an update is available it will begin to download.

Instructions

- Open your phone's web browser.
- Navigate to the Google Maps for Mobile website (see Resources).
- Click "Install Now" and wait for your phone to check for software updates. If the installed version requires an update you will be prompted to "Download and Install". Otherwise you will be asked if you want to reinstall the old version, in which case you can select "No".
